Monthly Net Profit
Our business is a WordPress blog in the female health niche that publishes information about how women can balance their hormones. It’s been up and running since the spring of 2018, so it’s just over 3 years old.
The sellers built the website 3 years ago with the intention of starting a coaching business. They started out trying Facebook ads for webinars but soon discovered that they’d need to invest more money to make that work. As a result, they chose to focus on blogging. With that change, the business started growing.
How does your business make money?
The site currently generates income through Mediavine ads, digital products, Amazon affiliate program, Youtube (AdSense), other affiliates (Mighty Menopause and ShareASale). In the past, the owner also offered private consultations. The average monthly profit over the last 6 months is $3,427.73.
The seller also provided some private consultations from September 2020 through February 2021. These averaged $214.90 per month during that period. This is a big opportunity for the buyer, if they are able to focus more on this part of the business.
The spring and summer of 2020 brought higher income than usual, likely due to the pandemic and increased use of Pinterest. The fourth quarter of each year usually sees more revenue as Mediavine RPM are significantly higher as advertisers gear up for holiday sales.
There are currently 2 digital products listed on the site, which were written by the owner. The most popular is the 28-Day Balancing Detox, followed by the 7-Day Reset. Users place an average of 23 orders per month, with a mean value of $29.99 per sale. No discounts or upsells have ever been offered for these.
The seller suggests the buyer might increase revenue by:
1) Finding affiliates for the digital products (possibly mom bloggers with a health focus or other women in the wellness space)
2) Creating more videos for the YouTube channel
3) Offering high-end one-on-one coaching or more affordable group programs (would likely require more YouTube and Facebook advertising)
4) Repurposing blog posts into e-books, possibly using one of these as a lead-magnet (which there is currently none)

Content creation (1-2 articles per month)
Finding and training a freelance writer, if necessary
Note: The buyer will need to verify how the advertising accounts work (whether they’re transferable or whether the new owner will need a separate account). The seller indicates the buyer will likely need to reapply for the affiliate accounts because some are used on another site she owns.
The seller of this business has decided to explore other niche sites and move into creating products.
The seller is looking for a buyer who is passionate about the hormone balance topic or an entrepreneur who wants a quality site (for an underserved audience) and has a team that can help them grow it further. Someone who enjoys helping others with health-related issues may really enjoy managing this site and even doing the research for the articles.
